JANUARY 11, 2009 | Please find the enclosed brochure/Please find enclosed the brochure

Q: Which is more correct - "Please find the enclosed brochure with information about our company." or "Please find enclosed the brochure with information about our company."?

A: The language of business has a lot of standard expressions, and this is one of them. The second sentence, "Please find enclosed the brochure..." is the one you should use in business correspondence. It is the most common way to tell the person that you're writing to that you're attaching something for him/her. The first sentence, "Please find the enclosed brochure...", although grammatically correct, actually kind of sounds like you're asking the person to find the brochure :) Hope that helps!
